Last night was another successful Night to Unite in Eden Prairie, with 165 neighborhoods hosting block parties.
Once again this year we asked residents to donate food to PROP (People Reaching Out to People) and once again we were not disappointed. Eden Prairie residents donated 7,471 pounds of food and $1,634 to PROP. Thank you to everyone who so generously donated to this important community resource.
The winner of this year’s contest to collect the most food is the Round Lake Road neighborhood with more than 514 pounds of food. To celebrate their generosity, they will be rewarded with an ice cream social party, including a visit from McGruff, Sparky and other City officials. The event will also include a bounce house donated by the Eden Prairie Kinderberry Hill Child Development Center.
Thank you to everyone who welcomed us to their parties, offered us water and took a few minutes out their evenings to chat with us. We value your support and look forward to next year’s Night to Unite!
